Aesthetic-medicine & plastic-surgery clinics: structural verification register

For every clinic we check who the responsible physician is, whether the official registers confirm the specialist certification and licence, whether the facility and the legal entity can be traced, whether the clinic publishes its own identifiers, and whether its advertising stays honest. We do not assess treatment outcomes, skill or complications, and nothing here is medical advice.

Score = weighted average of the axes that hold a value, on a 0–100 scale, per the open methodology. A score is published only when at least 75% of the axis weight is sourced. Axis cells show the 1–5 rubric value.

rubric value 1–5 · ? could not verify (no points, not a negative finding) · not applicable: this country has no register of that class · OFF official register · SEC secondary source

Listed, not ranked

These clinics pass the inclusion policy but have no published score: either coverage is below the threshold (verification pending), the responsible physician is not named (verification unavailable), or the profile is held. None of this is a finding against the clinic.

Registers we check against

Country map for Australia, compiled 29 August 2026. Where a register class does not exist publicly, the corresponding axis is not applicable and is dropped from the normalisation — we never simulate a register.

Specialist board registerAustralian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) — 'Find a Surgeon' member directory (members are Specialist Plastic Surgeons, FRACS (Plast)); each member page publishes the surgeon's Ahpra registration number and specialist-registration wording. Companion source: Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS) 'Find a Surgeon'. SECONDARY BY DESIGN — the official specialty register is Ahpra/Medical Board of Australia specialist registration, which no scripted request can reach (see medical_licence and notes). (open, machine-readable)
Medical licence registerAhpra — Register of practitioners (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, on behalf of the Medical Board of Australia; the single national register proving a doctor holds medical registration, and the same register that carries specialist registration, conditions, undertakings and reprimands) (form-based, not scriptable)
Facility registerState private-health-facility licence registers (health-facility licensing is a state matter in Australia; there is no federal facility register). PRIMARY, and the richest: NSW Health, licensed private health facilities under the Private Health Facilities Act 2007 — 'Day Only Facilities' and 'Overnight Facilities' lists, each row carrying the licence number, address, LGA, licensee and the licensed CLASSES of care, one of which is literally 'Cosmetic surgery'. Also open and tested: Queensland Health 'Licenced Facilities List' (private health facility licences, PDF) and the Victorian Department of Health lists of registered private hospitals and day procedure centres (XLSX). (open, machine-readable)
Company registerABN Lookup — Australian Business Register (ABR), maintained by the Registrar of the ABR / Australian Taxation Office: ABN status and start date, entity name, entity type, GST registration, main business location, registered business names and historical trading names, and the ASIC ACN for companies (open, machine-readable)
Sanctions / discipline registerState health-complaint regulators' public registers of orders and actions against health practitioners. PRIMARY (the only one that names Ahpra-REGISTERED practitioners with their registration numbers): Office of the Health Ombudsman (Queensland) — 'Actions/orders taken against health practitioners' (immediate registration actions, prohibition orders, QCAT prohibition decisions). Also open and tested: NSW Health Care Complaints Commission — 'List of Prohibition Orders' and 'Public Statements'; Health Complaints Commissioner Victoria — 'Prohibition orders'. (open, machine-readable)
